…Lawrence Summers, ex-Harvard president and head of the National Economic Counci, fell asleep on the podium… while major markets indices were hitting a 12-year low…

…Also, it seems Governor Sonny Perdue needs an energy drink from attending the same (I guess very borning) summit…

Dictionary definition of hype: Something deliberately misleading; a deception: “He says that there isn’t any economic crisis at all, that it’s all a hype, to maintain power. Charismatic leaders can only maintain power while a crisis endures, so they will hype up the crisis.”

In reality, people familiar with this summit said it was boring. It wasn’t boring because of the issues. Rather, it was apparent to everyone present that it was a huge publicity stunt designed to give Obama the look-and-feel of doing something about the current deficit without doing much at all.
